Team sports are when one group or team plays against another group or team in a competition. The team members work together to achieve a common goal. Team Sport

BASKETBALL- A game played between two teams of five players in which goals are scored by throwing a ball through a netted hoop fixed above each end of the court

BASEBALL- A ball game played between two teams of nine on a field with a diamond shaped circuit of four bases. It is played chiefly in the US,Canda,Latin America,and East Asia

VALLEYBALL-A game for two teams, usually of six players in which a large ball is hit by hand over a high net, the aim being to score pants by making the ball reach the ground on the opponent’s side of the court

FIELD HOCKEY-A game player between two teams of eleven players who use hooked stick to drive a small hard ball toward goals at opposite ends of a field.

WATER POLO-A seven a side game played by swimmers in a pool with a ball like a volleyball that is thrown into the opponent’s net

RUGBY-A team game played with an oval ball that may be kicked, carried, and passed from hand to hand, points are scored by grounding the ball behind the opponent’s goal line or by kicking it between the two posts and over the crossbar of the opponent’s goal

LACROSSE-A team game, originally played by north American Indians in which the ball is thrown,caught, and carried with a long handled stick having a curved L shaped on triangular frame at one end with a piece of shallow netting in the angle

CRICKET-A game player with a ball and bat by two sides of usually 11 players each on a large field centering upon two wickets each defend by a batsmen

SOCCER- A game played by two teams of eleven players with a round ball that may not be touched with the hands or arms during play except by the goalkeeper. The object of the game is to score goals by kicking or heading the ball into the opponent’s goal.

HAND BALL- A game similar to squash in which a ball is hit with the hand in a walled court

AMERICAN FOOTBALL- A form of team played with an oval ball on a field marked out as gridiron. Points are scored mainly through touchdown and field goals. Each side has eleven players on the field at any time
